I slept for what felt like a minute after my alarm sounded (except that minute was actually a half hour), coffee-maker decided to stop working halfway done making my coffee, almost broke my wrist, almost got hit by two cars, once because my car likes to hydroplane, and once because my car likes to stall in the middle of cross-traffic intersections, dropped my copy of the Bell Jar in a puddle, got to work to find that my boss was late so I didn’t have to rush at all, a passer-by spilled my coffee all over my foot and didn’t care, had to deal with an ignorant, racist right-winger, an entire shelf of books in my bookstore fell on my head, and I have seven hours yet to go at work, and the best thing I have to vent to is Tumblr. Fuck.
Thanks life, I was already in such a good place to deal with all of this.
Given their inherent vulnerability to disease, turkeys are the least ideal birds for the factory farm system. Therefore, they are given heavy amounts of antibiotics (more than any other animal). When we eat animals modified genetically and with antibiotics (as well as other drugs), our bodies become resistant to antibiotics, making it harder for us to cure our own diseases.
Bob Dylan at the Star Pavilion in Hershey in September...
I really wish I weren’t the only one in love with Bob Dylan, because I doubt anybody but me that I know would pay the ticket price to go. I don’t really give a fuck though. I will go alone if need be :)
